Norfolk & Norwich Aero Club

Summer & Winter Holiday Scheme

1936 - 1937

NNAC DH Moths There are Officers of HM Navy and Army, Members of the Civil Service, Tea and Rubber Planters, District Commissioners, Colonial Police, Traders and other professional men who, after several years abroad , find themselves confronted with from three months to a years leave in the Old Country. Many such men arrive in England finding that old associations, friends and interests have disappeared, and finish up by spending their leave rather at a loose end and return to duty feeling that they have not derived from this time of relaxation that mental and physical tonic to which they looked forward. Are you one of these?

The Club Lounge

To all these men the Norfolk and Norwich Aero Club can offer an original holiday all the year whether they have a month or six months to spend. The scheme centres around flying, either as the main or subsidiary feature of the holiday. You may live on the aerodrome with all facilities of a good residential club at your disposal for £2 10s. 0d. per week. Or we can find you a suitable hotel, boarding house, or farm in a locality to suit you.
Whether you can fly or want to learn to fly, we can offer every opportunity at very reasonable rates.

The Club Mess

If you want a quiet holiday, you can get it. If you want genial companionship you can find it amongst people who will welcome you. We have already provided fine holidays of the type we mention for men from China, Peru, India, Kenya, Australia and New Zealand.
