History

Originally a Royal Naval Air Station sattelite to Great Yarmouth, Narborough was taken over by the Royal Flying Corps in 1916. By the end of the war it was, at over 900 acres, the biggest airfield in the country. There was also a grass airfield at Marham which was redeveloped in 1937.
