History
I can confirm that, as both Bowyer and McKenzie have said, Deopham Green is a very atmospheric place, you think that you can hear the B17s approaching. It is possibly because when you visit there you find yourself in the middle of the main runway before you realise you have arrived, unlike other airfields where you skirt around the perimeter trying to see something. Deopham Green was home to the 452nd Bomb Group Febuary 1944 - April 1945. |
