Bodney opened in 1940 as a sattelite to Watton, it operated a number of different types including Blenheim, Hampden and Ventura. In 1943 it became USAAF Station 141 and was the home of the 352nd Fighter Group operating Thunderbolts and later Mustangs. It closed at the end of the war. |
